Description

• Betnovate N Cream: A topical combination medicine used to treat various inflammatory and bacterial skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, insect bites, and other related disorders. It contains two active ingredients: Betamethasone, a potent corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, redness, and itching by suppressing immune responses and inhibiting pro-inflammatory chemicals  , and Neomycin, an antibiotic that prevents bacterial infections by stopping bacterial protein synthesis.

• Mechanism of Action: The cream works through a dual-action formula; Betamethasone reduces inflammation and associated symptoms, while Neomycin provides antibacterial action against susceptible bacteria.

• Uses: It is prescribed for inflammatory skin conditions that involve a risk of bacterial infection, such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and lichen simplex chronicus. It is also used for conditions like seborrhoeic dermatitis, miliaria (prickly heat), and anal/genital intertrigo.
